最近台灣隊的日產曲線

活動成員數下降 雖然對於日產分數沒有直接影響
(應該是很多成員都提升硬體設備)

新的Project Core難度與影響系統穩定
所帶來加入成員減少的問題

以上是第1次使用GPU版本的狀況。可是無法使用F@H Viewer,不過FahSpy運作正常。
FahSpy並未顯示出PPD或PPH值。

這點我有異議!

單位算法不一樣,不可以直接拿分數來比較

硬是要比的話,應該拿Boinc計算的分數,才可以跟F@H 1:1在比較

(所以我的簽名檔也只列Boinc的計分)

今天在寫稿說明Folding@Home在台灣的故事

寫到後來 想起源起的推廣 是在PS3

於是又回過頭去研究Cell處理器(Power PC為基礎)
(8+1核心)3.2GHZ

才真正了解到當時美國對於Cell處理器非常敏感的原因

因為是由東芝/Sony/IBM共同開發

而這處理器的等級其實算是與伺服器相當了

就以當時同一時間Intel的Xeon可能還無法比擬

所以如果用在軍事方面是很可怕的

也讓我想起一篇美國工程教授的報導 他一口氣買了八台PS3

自己做串聯處理起來 運算性能跟超級電腦來比非常接近了

然而近期Cell Be的推出 雙精度的計算更是前一代的五倍以上

讓我想到 如果有出Cell Be的主機板 配上GPU

不管是4870*2或是未來的GTX280*2 可能會是非常恐怖的
運算器...F@H的日產量...該不知道會變成多恐怖...

(敲頭! 小子 Cell是拿來做伺服器用的 別再幻想了 醒醒吧) :flash:

VISTA 64 怪現象
 
VISTA很奇怪,愈跑愈慢
重開機後,又會恢復正常!
原本SMP可以跑2500,GPU可以跑4600∼5100,但是連續跑2天後,SMP只剩下1900,GPU只剩4400∼4800,都拉拉不起來,重開機,一切又恢復正常!

按照我寫程式的經驗推論,應該是記憶配置很差,愈用片段愈多!

有辦法拿到source code嗎?

關閉Aero, 用windows classic,現在SMP可以跑2800,5015(480)用 GPU可以跑5200,有差哦!

如果要作大量的平行計算,小弟以為GPGPU才是王道.法國現在有一台超級電腦,就是
使用了一百多片GTX280所組成.

不同程式當然不能直接比較,未必會是1:1的對價關係. 但只是要指出WCG是一個很好的備案.

尤其是相較SMP出現許多的問題與要求下. 局勢沒大改變之前,個人覺得F@H僅用GPU來跑即可.
