After fiddling with my BIOS, I was able to get the hotfix drivers to work perfectly!

So here is what I discovered about my motherboard. Asus has this thing called "AI tuner" which is supposed to automatically tweak BCLOCK and various memory timings for maximum performance. This is enabled by default in the bios.

By Disabling the asus's AI tuner, and manually assigning a BCLOCK value of 100.0 I was able to stop ALL the TDR's and BSOD issues I was having. In games. In Chrome. Everywhere.
