紐澤西州當地有個教育主管單位真的是吃飽太鹹，投票通過修改他們下轄學校的行事曆，把所有原訂的國定跟宗教假日全面『改名』，就因為外頭有人靠北說『哥倫布日』應該要改名成啥『原住民日』云云...... 然後包括其他宗教類的假日，一律改命名為『放假』(day off)，以後12月份跟人抬槓就要講Have a Merry "day off" and a Happy "day off"。
