Despite pressure from the United States, Israel refused an offer to sell more than 200 hundred Merkava tanks, which are intended for Poland and Ukraine.

The Israeli edition of Axios writes that Israeli Defense Ministry Yoav Galant told Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin that Israel would not supply lethal weapons to Ukraine.

Earlier, Walla, citing Polish military experts, reported that Israel, under the influence of the United States, allegedly agreed to sell Merkava Mark 2 and 3 tanks to one of the European countries - with resale to Poland and Ukraine.
