World Cars Brand Ranking up to May 2023 shows the Toyota still as global leader. BYD enters the top 10 rising 8 spots from the previous year (+82.5%).

Looking at cumulative data up to May 2023, the leader Toyota holds 11.2% market share with sales at 3.6 million (+1.4%), further widening the gap from second place.

Furthermore, tracking the ranking of top-selling car brands in the World since 2010, we have always seen Toyota leading the scene. Chevrolet ranks in 7th reporting 1.2 million sales (+9.2%), while Kia falls 1 spot into 8th with 1.2 million units sold (+3.3%), followed by Mercedes in 9th at 904,350 sales (+4.6%).

BYD closes the top 10 rising 8 spots with 895,937 cumulative sales (+82.5%).
