At the 3GPP conference held in Melbourne in September, the Chinese team won a great victory.
Not only was the main speaker a Chinese company (China Mobile) for the first time, but the 14 key capability indicators of the five scenarios proposed by the Chinese company were all adopted by the International Telecommunication unx as international standards.

Among the more than 2,800 international papers recognized at the conference as playing a key role in the development of 6G, more than 1,100 were contributed by the Chinese team. Huawei, ZTE and other Chinese companies have the largest number of patents applied for in the field of 6G solutions in the world（41%）, of which invention patents account for 89%. At the conference, Huawei demonstrated 6G base station prototypes and terminals, and the experimental download speed easily exceeded 1GB/S。


9月12日，在澳大利亞墨爾本召開的全球通訊國際標准組織(3GPP)的6G會議上，3GPP首個6G標准項目——6G場景用例與需求研究項目獲得通過。該項目主報告人由中國移動代表擔任，得到全球超過90家公司的支持，這標志著全球6G標准化工作正式進入實質階段。中國隊大獲全勝，所有提案全部被國際電信聯盟采納作為國際標准。中國在6G時代領跑已成定局。

在會議上被公認為在6G發展中發揮關鍵作用的2800多篇國際論文中，中國團隊貢獻了1100多篇。華為、中興等中國企業在6G解決方案領域申請的專利數量居全球首位（41%），其中發明專利占89%。會上，華為展示了6G基站原型和終端，實驗下載速度輕松超過1GB/S。
